Happy, Healthy Bloodline Before breeding our dogs, we conduct full DNA testing and profiling. Not only does DNA play a part in breeding - confirmation, personality and temperament also do. We put all our dogs through puppy school and manners classes with a behaviourist. All our miniature dachshunds are registered for breeding with local councils and we have our breeding registration numbers available. We do not rehome retired females (I couldn't bear parting with my dogs), they will stay with us and continue to be spoilt , living their best life possible.Â
We are always looking for perfect homes for our babies to be bought into! We have introduced a paid approved waitlist which is where, once we vet your application, ask any additional questions we might have and you are approved, we gain a $200 deposit to secure your spot in the upcoming litters.
All our dogs are up-to-date with their vaccinations and regularly vet checked. We exercise our dogs each day so that they keep healthy and active. By exercising them daily , they develop their back muscles to further prevent back issues like IVDD. Have a read of our blog 'About Dachshunds' to learn further about IVDD. We also ensure the health of our dogs by feeding them a well balanced diet. Our adult dogs get a mixture of raw food as well as Royal Canine kibble. This ensures they are getting all the nutrients they need. Every now and then , we will give them raw lamb necks and rabbit ears for their teeth , as well as eggs and sardines for their coats. We also give them Kong's filled with yoghurt , banana , peanut butter and chicken feet to keep them occupied (Dachshunds love puzzles , so by introducing 'play' into eating a treat is really great for Dachies)

Back Care is Everythingdd Your Heading
No Jumping Adventures
Those adorable leaps onto sofas can spell disaster for their elongated spines. Provide ramps or steps instead.
Mind the Weight
Extra pounds put tremendous pressure on their backs. Keep them trim with proper portions and regular exercise.
Support During Lifts
Always support both chest and hindquarters when picking them up. Never lift by the middle!
